On 13 December 2025 GMT+7, the First Army Region Operations Center summarized the Thai-Cambodian border situation in Sa Kaeo Province as of 18:00.
The Burapha Task Force has been carrying out sovereignty defense operations amid the Thai-Cambodian conflict for six days, with key operations as follows.
Area of Ban Khlong Phaeng, Ta Phraya District. They employed strategies and supportive fire to control the area, which is open terrain, while the Cambodian side countered with concentrated fire using BM-21 rocket launchers, artillery, and grenade launchers.
Area of Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, Khok Sung District. They occupied the claimed area and used supportive fire to prevent additional Cambodian forces. The Cambodian side continued to resist with sustained BM-21 rocket, artillery, and grenade launcher fire.
Area of Ban Nong Chan, Khok Sung District. They implemented strategies and supportive fire to maintain control, while the Cambodian side continuously countered with BM-21 rockets, artillery, and grenade launcher fire.
Joint operations with the Royal Thai Air Force involved air strikes destroying Cambodian air defense units' arms and ammunition depots and communication systems opposite Ban Nong Ya Kaeo and Ban Nong Chan.
Regarding preparations to receive Thai nationals returning from Poipet, Cambodia, at the permanent border checkpoint of Ban Khlong Luek, Aranyaprathet District, the Cambodian side still detains them without release for the third day.
Among personnel injured in the ongoing situation, four additional injuries were reported today. Since 8 Dec 2025 GMT+7 to present, there have been 48 injured and 3 fatalities. Local residents in four border districts of Sa Kaeo Province have been supported by the province and related agencies through five temporary shelters with a total of 43 centers, accommodating 21,903 people.
The First Army Region affirms its commitment to fully carry out its mission. Military operations will proceed under rules of engagement and self-defense rights until threats in Sa Kaeo border areas cease, prioritizing Thailand's sovereignty and the safety of its people.
