Three More Brave Soldiers Sacrifice Their Lives Defending Sovereignty at Ban Nong Jan Battlefield, Sa Kaeo Province

Reports confirm that three brave soldiers sacrificed their lives during a border clash between Thailand and Cambodia at the Ban Nong Jan battlefield in Sa Kaeo Province, following a concentrated BM-21 multiple rocket launcher attack by Cambodian forces.

On 26 December 2025, at 14:30, the First Army Area Operations Center reported that the Burapha Task Force had successfully seized and controlled all three frontline areas: Ban Khlong Phaeng in Taphraya District, Ban Nong Ya Kaew in Khok Sung District, and Ban Nong Jan in Khok Sung District.

Later, around 17:00, reports emerged that Cambodian soldiers launched a concentrated BM-21 multiple rocket launcher assault on Ban Nong Jan area in Sa Kaeo, resulting in the initial death of three Thai soldiers and several injuries. The deceased include one non-commissioned officer and two privates from the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, Royal Guard. The names of the fallen are as follows:

1. Sergeant Major Pongsakorn Nakthongdee, driver at the Headquarters Company, Reconnaissance Platoon, 2nd Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, Royal Guard.

2. Private Patip Sornpradit, rifleman, native of Trat Province.

3. Private Thiwatthanon Pholyeam, light machine gunner, native of Amnat Charoen Province.
