Busy First Day of MP Registration in Sa Kaeo: Thianthong Family Fields Candidates in All 3 Districts

Sa Kaeo was lively on the first day of MP registration on 27 Dec, with the 'Thianthong' family fielding candidates in all three constituencies. The director of the Election Commission office affirmed full election preparedness despite some areas being affected by border clashes.

On 27 December 2025, reporters reported that the atmosphere at the Sa Kaeo provincial constituency MP election, held from 27 to 31 December 2025 at the Sa Kaeo Provincial Administrative Organization, was lively on the first registration day.

Sa Kaeo province is divided into three constituencies. Candidates were required to register before 8:30 a.m., with an official cutoff at 8:25 a.m. to determine early arrivals. If candidate order and numbers could not be agreed upon, a two-round lottery process would decide, followed by document verification and official registration.

The process went smoothly with 23 candidates registering early. Meanwhile, one candidate was found to have disqualifying characteristics and is under investigation according to Election Commission regulations.

Outside the registration venue, the atmosphere was vibrant with campaign signs and public encouragement. Supporters eagerly awaited candidate numbers, marking the first step before the official campaign. The 'Thianthong' family, drawing attention, submitted candidates in all three constituencies:

Constituency 1: Mr. Badee Thianthong, Palang Pracharath Party.

Constituency 2: Ms. Treenuch Thianthong, Palang Pracharath Party.

Constituency 3: Mr. Suangsong Thianthong, Pheu Thai Party.

Ms. Thianlada Prayong, director of Sa Kaeo Election Commission office, stated that although some areas are affected by tensions along the border, the overall registration proceeded smoothly. She confirmed that the Election Commission is fully prepared for the 8 February 2026 election.

She invited Sa Kaeo citizens to participate in the election on the announced date and time to help shape the country’s political future.

Constituency 1 includes Mueang Sa Kaeo, Khao Chakan, and Wang Nam Yen districts (only Thung Maha Charoen subdistrict) with seven candidates registering on the first day.

Constituency 2 covers Watthana Nakhon (except Chong Kum and Sae Or subdistricts), Wang Nam Yen (except Thung Maha Charoen), Khlong Hat, and Wang Sombun districts, with eight candidates registering.

Constituency 3 includes Aranyaprathet, Ta Phraya, Khlong Sok, and part of Watthana Nakhon (only Chong Kum and Sae Or subdistricts), with six candidates registering on the first day.
