
Residents complain that nearly a thousand motorcycles from the "Durian Non Long Stem" group invaded Sattahip, causing noise disturbances. Police set up strict checkpoints and seized 14 motorcycles for inspection.
On 1 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, a motorcycle group called the "Durian Non Long Stem Trip" gathered to travel near Nang Ram Beach, Samaesan Subdistrict, Sattahip District, with about 700 to 1,000 motorcycles.
Some motorcycles were driven recklessly and loudly, raising concerns about accidents. As a result, many Sattahip residents posted on social media expressing their distress over this motorcycle group's behavior.
Meanwhile, Pol. Col. Komsan Kamtunkaew, the Sattahip Police Chief, ordered Pol. Lt. Col. Chanathat Nawakunrangsri, Deputy Superintendent of Operations, and Pol. Sgt. Maj. Phatthanan Somnuan, Traffic Officer, to oversee operations jointly with traffic police, motorcycle patrols, special operations units, and investigation teams to set up checkpoints under the Land Traffic Act and enforce laws strictly.
Following complaints about racing and loud noises on Road 3126 near the Samaesan intersection in Samaesan Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, authorities seized 14 motorcycles for inspection and asked owners to present documents to verify legality.
Pol. Col. Komsan Kamtunkaew, Sattahip Police Chief, revealed that regarding the motorcycle group traveling to tour Sattahip, police have conducted in-depth intelligence gathering and coordinated with group leaders or key figures of each group.
Sattahip District welcomes all tourists but requests their cooperation to travel peacefully, strictly follow traffic laws, avoid violating regulations, refrain from racing or causing noise disturbances, and not ride recklessly, which could cause danger and trouble to local residents.
If motorcycles are found to violate the law, authorities must take enforcement action to ensure public safety and the safety of riders themselves, as it is the police's duty to maintain safety and provide convenience for all tourists.
