A security official in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, stormed an abandoned commercial building to rescue a 42-year-old woman who was locked in a room by her husband and beaten until covered in blood. The husband claimed the woman was unfaithful and had slept with another man.
At 7:30 p.m. on 1 January 2026, Mr. Kamphrai Laosaen, a security official of Bang Lamung District, along with volunteer territorial defense officers, was patrolling known gathering spots when they reached an abandoned commercial building in Jomtien Alley, Village No. 12, Nongprue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Residents reported hearing a woman crying loudly from a second-floor room in the abandoned building, prompting the officials to immediately investigate.
Upon reaching the second-floor room, officials heard a woman screaming inside. They knocked and called out before a man, shirtless, came to open the door. When the officials peered inside, they were shocked to find a woman named Rasamee, 42, wearing only short jeans shorts and no shirt, her body covered in blood with a head wound and swollen eye sockets. She was pleading, crying, and raising her hands in supplication, begging the officials for help.
The man, 38-year-old Moo, identified himself as her husband and told officials, "My wife has been unfaithful; she slept with someone else." Observing the worsening situation, the officials helped the woman out of the room and contacted the Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescue team in Pattaya to transport her to Pattaya Pattamakun Hospital.
Ms. Rasamee stated that her husband, Mr. Moo, had physically abused her, attempting to stab her with a knife and hitting her head with a hammer. He then confined her in the room where he continued to beat her while accusing her of sleeping with another man, which she denied.
Later, local authorities coordinated with the Pattaya City Police Station to take Mr. Moo for questioning. He appeared intoxicated in the building and claimed he assaulted his wife because he was upset over her alleged infidelity. Officials are waiting for the woman’s condition to improve before summoning her for questioning and proceeding with legal action against the husband.
