Gun Jomphlang Deploys 50 Containers at Ban Thamoda Border

Fifty containers owned by Gun Jomphlang have arrived in Trat Province. They will be set up along the Ban Thamoda border to strengthen security in the area. Locals believe a third clash is inevitable.

On 6 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters at Wat Tha Sen in Laem Glad Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trat Province, observed 25 trailers carrying a total of 50 containers parked at the temple. All containers belong to “Gun Jomphlang,” or Kanthas Phongpaiboonwech, brought from Chonburi Province. Coordination with the Navy (Marine Corps) is underway to transport them to the Ban Thamoda border to be arranged as a fence to reinforce security and protect vulnerable points.

This operation aims to organize the border area and strengthen defenses at vulnerable spots by arranging the containers continuously along the responsible border stretch. It is expected to support officials’ work and boost confidence among local border residents.

Local residents expressed gratitude to "Gun Jomphlang" for placing the containers as a border fence, which they believe will reduce risks of clashes along the border and provide reassurance, especially during recent tense periods with intermittent conflicts. They are certain a third round of clashes will occur, and having a clear defense line will help officials manage the area and allow residents to live more safely.
