A van lost control on a curve, crossed into the opposite lane, and crashed violently into three vehicles on Sukhumvit Road in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, resulting in 3 deaths and 16 injuries.

At 05:00 on 19 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Col. Amnat Kamphon, an investigator at Laem Chabang Police Station in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, reported a van losing control on a curve, crossing lanes, and crashing head-on into a rented van. The crash caused 3 immediate deaths and 16 injuries. The incident occurred on Sukhumvit Road at the Ban Na curve, inbound to Pattaya, in Thung Sukhla Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. The scene is a one-way, three-lane road. In the middle of the road was a white van registered in Bangkok, with severe front damage. The male driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Not far away, another white van with Bangkok registration was overturned. Inside were multiple fatalities and injured persons: the male driver and a female front passenger were both dead. Sixteen passengers were injured: 10 women, 3 men, and 3 girls. Rescue workers provided first aid before rushing them to Laem Chabang Hospital.

Nearby was a white Ford car registered in Chonburi, with front-end damage. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Mr. Bantherng Samkit, 58, a security guard living near the scene, said he did not witness the crash but heard a loud noise and went to see. He saw the damage and was told that a van heading toward Si Racha lost control at the curve, crossed the median, and collided head-on with another van. Then a following car crashed into the wreckage.

Officials have inspected the scene, interviewed witnesses, and photographed the area for evidence. They are waiting until the injured recover sufficiently to give detailed statements to determine the accident's true cause.
