Former World Boxing Champion Amnat Ruenreung Rushed to Hospital Late at Night After Dog Bite with High Fever and Seizures

Former world boxing champion Amnat Ruenreung was rushed to the hospital late at night after being bitten by a dog, developing a high fever and seizures while at home.

At 9:00 p.m. on 27 February 2026, the Sawang Prateep Rescue Radio Center received a report of someone having seizures and a high fever at home. They went to check the house located in Village 8, Surasak Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, where they found Mr. Amnat Ruenreung, former IBF flyweight (112 pounds) world boxing champion, shivering with a fever and a wound on his knee.

When asked, Mr. Amnat revealed that two days ago he was bitten by a dog but did not tell anyone because he was afraid his family would worry. He stayed home to recover. Later, he developed chills and a fever, and earlier that evening, he experienced seizures. His family immediately called the rescue unit for help. He is now improving but needs to continue treatment at the hospital.
