At 10:30 a.m. on 25 September 2026, a thunderstorm occurred at the Koh Loy pier area in Si Racha district, Chonburi province. This caused the ferry service to Koh Si Chang to be temporarily suspended due to the storm, strong gusty winds, and sea waves exceeding safe limits. Operators feared the risk of danger to passengers traveling to Koh Si Chang.
The sea around the Koh Loy ferry pier in Si Racha district, Chonburi, showed high waves. Ferries were anchored at the pier. Local fishermen also anchored their boats and suspended fishing activities.
In Si Racha district, areas including the old Wat Naprao route, the Nong Nam Dam curve, the Sriracha–Nong Kho road, the Chak Kho–Nong Kham route, and the Wat Bo Hin road experienced flooding covering about half the height of vehicle wheels. The Wat Bo Hin route had swift currents, making it impassable for small vehicles. Officials from Chao Phraya Surasak Municipality assisted residents in the area.
