On 29 September 2026, reporters received updates from the Eastern Irrigation Hydrology Center that water levels in the Hanuman tributary at Kabin Buri district are 1.77 cm above the banks and have begun to stabilize.
In Sri Maha Phot district, the Prachinburi River is 1.56 meters above the banks, especially in Na Mueang subdistrict, Mueang district, Prachinburi province, where water continues to rise, flooding the roadway by about 65 centimeters.
Drone inspections over the Prachinburi municipal area, starting at the Prachinburi Highway District intersection, revealed high water levels preventing small vehicles from passing due to flooding across all four traffic lanes. Inside the municipal area, all roads are heavily flooded, making traffic movement very difficult.
Residents in flooded housing estates who cannot help themselves have contacted various agencies requesting urgent assistance to evacuate patients and elderly people. They have also requested boxed meals as they cannot go out to buy food. However, relief efforts are challenging due to the widespread severe flooding this year.
At 11:25 a.m., the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) issued a Cell Broadcast warning that water levels in the Prachinburi River continue to rise and the situation remains critical in many areas. For safety, residents living along the river, in low-lying or risk areas are urged to evacuate to shelters immediately without delay and to move their vehicles.
