In Rayong, it rained throughout the night, causing flooding on Sukhumvit Road at the Shopping Center Intersection, Sai 4, where small vehicles cannot pass. Meanwhile, the Rayong branch of the Provincial Waterworks Authority announced a halt to water pumping, resulting in water supply interruptions across the area except for some parts of Ban Khai and Noen Phra.
On 29 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that after heavy rain hit several areas of Rayong province since midnight, the latest situation at 07:00 GMT+7 saw Rayong Municipality warn residents to avoid the flooded Sukhumvit Road at the Shopping Center Intersection, Sai 4, due to high water levels preventing small vehicles from passing. Road users are advised to avoid this route until water levels subside.
Meanwhile, the Rayong branch of the Provincial Waterworks Authority reported the water supply situation, stating that water levels remain high at the Nam Khok pumping station. For operational safety and to minimize risks, it is necessary to stop water pumps in the surrounding area, preventing normal water pumping. This has caused water outages in most service areas of the Rayong PWA branch, except some parts of Ban Khai and Noen Phra.
The Rayong PWA branch apologized for the inconvenience and assured that once the situation normalizes, they will expedite water pumping to restore supply as quickly as possible.
Regarding flooding in Klaeng district, Kaeng Hospital posted that surrounding water levels remain high, making it impossible for small vehicles to enter or exit the hospital. Inside the hospital grounds, flooding is severe, and boats are required for movement between locations.
The hospital requested that people avoid traveling to the hospital unless absolutely necessary and to closely follow hospital announcements. For emergency cases, patients should enter through Gate 1 on Sukhumvit Road, where staff will assist and transport patients inside the hospital.
