Flooding in Prachinburi Municipality Exceeds One Meter, Roads Turn into Canals

Flooding in Prachinburi Municipality has exceeded one meter in some places, transforming roads into canals. At Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital, water has flooded the entire area, while the military has deployed armored wheeled vehicles to assist the public.

On 30 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters covering the flood situation in Prachinburi Municipality from aerial footage found water levels on roads ranging from 1.00 to 1.30 meters. This has made travel impossible for small vehicles, turning municipal roads into canals and causing severe disruptions.. There are virtually no vehicles running within the municipality. Residents can only enter or leave their homes by wading through water or using boats. Some who refused to evacuate have called for help, such as 20 people sheltering upstairs at the Prachinburi Provincial Administrative Organization residence due to flooding below; they have lacked food for two days. Meanwhile, at Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital, floodwaters have completely inundated the facility.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Infantry Regiment, King's Guard, through the 2nd Battalion 1st Infantry Regiment, has deployed volunteer personnel and a rescue team with two armored wheeled medical vehicles (BTR-3S) to assist flood victims in Kabin Buri District. They are evacuating residents and facilitating transport across flooded areas between the evacuation point at the Three Soldiers intersection and Kabin Buri Hospital, where water levels on roads are too high for small cars or regular military vehicles to pass. They are also distributing essential supplies, relief bags, and clean drinking water to stranded residents along the route to provide immediate assistance until floodwaters recede.

Additionally, the Abhaibhubejhr Traditional Thai Medicine Institute has suspended its traditional medicine services and online clinics due to rapidly rising floodwaters in Prachinburi. This has affected hospital operations across all departments, leading to a temporary service halt. Patients who arranged for medication delivery by mail may experience delays. The institute will notify the public via its page once normal services resume.

In emergencies, people should continue to call 1669. The emergency and trauma services of Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital have been temporarily relocated to Chakrapong Military Camp Hospital.
