Most recently, at 20:00 hrs on 6 Nov 2026, Police Major General Chatree Suksiri, Chonburi Provincial Police Commander, visited Bang Lamung Police Station to inspect the scene. He ordered the Chonburi Forensic Police Division 2 to collect detailed evidence to determine the cause and origin of the fire, spending over an hour on the investigation.

Initially, after extinguishing the fire completely, it was found that two investigation officers' offices were damaged (the first with 4 officers, the second with 3). Equipment damage included four heavily damaged laptop computers and numerous case files and associated documents.

Additionally, heat affected the balcony corridor on the second floor, causing partial damage, and nearly the entire second-floor electrical wiring system was damaged. Meanwhile, after the fire was controlled, Bang Lamung Police Station continues to serve the public as usual.

Police Major General Chatree Suksiri stated that after inspecting the site and ordering forensic police to collect evidence and investigate the cause, it is preliminarily believed that the fire was caused by leaving an electrical plug connected.

Regarding the case files damaged by the fire, he expressed no concern, noting that some files can still be verified and are backed up in computer hard drives.

He also reassured the public that Bang Lamung Police Station is still operating normally since the fire damage was confined to the second floor, while the ground floor continues working as usual.
