The Department of Business Development is preparing to hold a Franchise Roadshow in four provinces across four regions nationwide to strengthen SMEs and boost the value of Thai products, with an expected economic turnover of no less than 590 million baht.
On 16 December 2025, Mr. Poonphong Nainapakorn, Director-General of the Department of Business Development under the Ministry of Commerce, revealed that the department prioritizes systematically and sustainably developing Thai franchise businesses. This especially includes supporting entrepreneurs and local communities in accessing information, knowledge, and trade opportunities equally, in line with the Quick Big Win policy focusing on strengthening SMEs and increasing the value of Thai products, as promoted by the Minister of Commerce, Ms. Supachai Sutthammanoon.
Between December 2025 and March 2026, the department will organize four Franchise Roadshow events in four regions. Selected franchise businesses meeting the DBD Franchise Standard 2025 will participate in these roadshows, which include:
These events will provide a platform for interested parties in the provinces and nearby areas to meet franchise owners directly, conduct business negotiations, and learn comprehensive business information.
The key highlights of these events include: Exhibition booths featuring over 40 Thai franchise brands. These cover food, beverages, services, education, and retail sectors. Business matching sessions will offer opportunities to expand businesses and engage with entrepreneurs from various industries to create new business prospects. Financial institutions will also participate, providing advice and special financing options for interested parties.
The four Franchise Roadshow events will help entrepreneurs and local communities access business opportunities more easily, offering options to start businesses with certified management systems. This will enhance the capacity of small entrepreneurs to grow steadily and sustainably. It is expected that over 10,000 visitors will attend, generating economic value of no less than 590 million baht throughout the events.
“Expanding access to franchises is a key mission of the Department of Business Development to promote job creation, income generation, and grassroots economic growth. The Franchise Roadshow not only helps Thai franchise businesses expand their markets widely but also supports career development, income distribution, and local economic stability, aligning with the department’s mission to sustainably develop Thai entrepreneurs,” Director-General Poonphong said in closing.
Interested unemployed individuals or those considering investing in franchises in the provinces hosting the events and nearby areas are invited to participate in the four Franchise Roadshow events to contribute to driving the national economy and creating business opportunities for themselves.
