The Department of Business Development is fully advancing the Quick Big Win policy by launching a major Franchise Roadshow across four regions nationwide. This initiative aims to strengthen SME entrepreneurs and expand their markets into regional areas, with an anticipated economic turnover of no less than 590 million baht.
On 22 December 2025 GMT+7, the Department of Business Development announced plans to organize a Franchise Roadshow across four provinces nationwide—Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Udon Thani. The event aims to elevate Thai franchise businesses toward proactive growth and systematically create opportunities for regional residents to own businesses, thereby generating jobs, creating careers, increasing incomes, and distributing wealth locally. The economic turnover is expected to be no less than 590 million baht.
The goal is to develop Thai franchise businesses for systematic and sustainable growth, especially by supporting entrepreneurs and residents in regional areas to equally access information, knowledge, and business opportunities. This aligns with the Quick Big Win policy to strengthen SMEs and enhance the value of Thai products, as promoted by the Minister of Commerce, Supachai Sutthammanus. From December 2025 to March 2026, the Department will hold four Franchise Roadshow events in four regions. Selected franchises meeting the DBD Franchise Standard 2025 will participate. The schedule includes: the first event from 19–22 December 2025 at Central Si Racha; the second from 15–18 January 2026 at Central Chiang Mai Festival; the third from 5–8 February 2026 at Central Phuket Festival; and the fourth from 5–8 March 2026 at Central Udon Thani. These events provide a platform for local interested parties to meet franchise owners directly, negotiate business, and learn comprehensive franchise information.
A key highlight of this event is the exhibition booths featuring over 40 Thai franchise brands spanning food, beverages, services, education, and retail sectors. Business matching sessions will offer a platform to expand business, meet entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, and explore new business opportunities. Additionally, financial institutions will participate with booths offering advice and special funding conditions for interested parties.
The four Franchise Roadshow events will enable entrepreneurs and residents in provinces to more easily access business opportunities, expand options for starting managed and certified businesses, and increase the capacity of small entrepreneurs to grow steadily and sustainably. Attendance is expected to exceed 10,000 people across all events, generating an economic impact of no less than 590 million baht throughout the activities.
The first Franchise Career Creation Roadshow 2025 is held in Chonburi province, where the Department of Business Development has brought together 40 franchise brands from various sectors such as food, beverages, services, and education. This gives attendees access to appealing franchise businesses, with most franchise owners personally presenting investment packages. The Department is also offering special discounts on franchise packages to help interested individuals start their own careers at the event.
Additionally, the Department is collaborating with partners including the Department of Employment, various financial institutions, and Central shopping centers. This cooperation ensures that support from multiple sectors will assist Thai SMEs and career seekers in Chonburi province to establish self-sustaining businesses, generate family income, and expand their enterprises in the future.
Currently, there are 1,253 franchise businesses developed by the Department, categorized as follows: food, 556 businesses (44%); beverages, 165 businesses (13%); education, 70 businesses (6%); services, 200 businesses (16%); retail, 177 businesses (14%); and beauty and spa, 85 businesses (7%).
