International Performers from 10 Countries Join 4th Thailand Cultural Exchange Festival

Welcome "International performers" from 10 countries joined the 4th Thailand International Cultural Exchange Festival.


On 2 Feb 2026, a reporter reported that at the Bandit Sri meeting room, 3rd floor, Faculty of Management Science (Building 44), Surindra Rajabhat University, Surin Province, Mr. Praphas Srichanwiang, Deputy Governor of Surin Province, presided over the opening ceremony for the orientation of the international performers participating in the 4th Thailand Cultural Exchange Festival (The 4th Thailand Cultural Exchange Festival: 4th Thailand-CEF). The event welcomed international performers from 11 countries: China, Bulgaria, Brazil, the Philippines, Mexico, Laos, India, Indonesia, Italy, Israel, and Thailand, along with university executives, faculty members, and staff of Surindra Rajabhat University, who warmly received them.

The 4th Thailand International Cultural Exchange Festival was held from 2–8 February 2026 at the stage in Chalerm Phrakiat Park, commemorating the 80th birthday of His Majesty the King, in Surin Province (Elephant Park). Activities included international cultural performances, national and international academic conferences on sustainable local development, and an international fabric and costume fashion show, all open free to the public.

Additionally, during the orientation, cooperation was received from the 25th Military Circle, Surin Provincial Police Station, Surin Immigration Office, and Surin Hospital, providing information on security measures, regulations, and public health care to assure the international performers throughout the event period.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. Chalong Sukthong, President of Surindra Rajabhat University, stated that this year 10 countries participated, including distant ones like Brazil and Mexico. All 10 countries presented main activities and exchanges on the new stage at Chalerm Phrakiat Park from 2–8 February 2026.

There were also academic activities with submitted papers on sustainable development. An important highlight was the international fabric fashion show, featuring Surin's silk team this year. For security, military and police personnel were present to provide oversight.
