Lampang Chamber of Commerce Drives City Development, Boosting Economy by Over 900 Million Baht

The Lampang Chamber of Commerce announced its one-year achievements in its 21st term, highlighting activities and projects that have helped stimulate the local economy with a value exceeding 900 million baht.

On 10 Feb 2026 GMT+7, the Lampang Chamber of Commerce, together with the Young Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce (YEC) Lampang committee, reported on their first-year performance in the 21st term. They showcased proactive efforts in driving Lampang's economy and urban development systematically, under collaboration from government, private sector, educational institutions, and networks at all levels.

Over the past year, the Lampang Chamber of Commerce and YEC Lampang have carried out a total of 566 activities and tasks related to economic, social, and human resource development. Their focus was on strategic work rather than ad hoc events to ensure sustained and continuous results. Their operations this year were based on five main strategic areas:

1. Supporting the creation of New S-Curve industries and new economic opportunities for the province.

2. Organizing activities and projects to increase economic value based on Lampang’s capital assets.

3. Developing new agricultural opportunities and high-value agriculture.

4. Developing people, networks, and collaborations at all levels.

5. Developing infrastructure and connectivity systems to enhance the city's collaborative capabilities.

These efforts have yielded tangible results in various dimensions, such as receiving the "Outstanding Chamber of Commerce" award for the seventh consecutive year, reflecting the chamber's capability and sustained role in provincial development.

Moreover, these activities and projects have helped directly and indirectly stimulate the local economy, with a combined value exceeding 900 million baht.

Regarding human resource development, the Lampang Chamber of Commerce has imparted knowledge, skills, and experience to more than 2,500 entrepreneurs, farmers, students, and pupils. This is alongside fostering cooperation with over 50 government agencies, private organizations, and higher education institutions both inside and outside the province to strengthen Lampang’s economic development ecosystem.

At the same time, they have contributed to developing and upgrading over 200 local enterprises, community businesses, and occupational groups, as well as creating and supporting more than 20 major activities related to urban development across economic, social, sports, and cultural dimensions. These efforts have continuously encouraged participation and stimulated the city’s economic atmosphere.

Mr. Peerarak Pichayakul, Chairman of the Lampang Chamber of Commerce, said that over the past year, their work was not just about conducting many activities or projects but focused on developing collaborative systems for urban development, connecting the strengths of all sectors, and laying a foundation for long-term city growth. The success achieved results from collaboration among government, private sector, educational institutions, and the public working together to advance Lampang steadily and sustainably.

The Lampang Chamber of Commerce emphasized that the successes of the past year are not the result of any single organization but stem from the cooperation of all provincial sectors jointly driving Lampang forward firmly while laying the groundwork for the city’s long-term economic and social development.
