Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden in Chonburi Province, under the leadership of Chairman Kamphon Tansajja, organized a Chinese New Year celebration for 2026 on 11 February.February 11, 2026.The grand and dazzling event featured a procession of trained elephants performing the lion dance, reflecting cultural identity while creating excitement and leaving a strong impression on tourists.
This activity was arranged to preserve and uphold the fine traditions of Thai-Chinese culture within Thai society, sharing cultural values with young people and tourists, both Thai and foreign. The event included lion dance performances and a parade of auspicious symbols. Angelic figures performed blessing dances to welcome the Chinese New Year, while Chairman Kamphon and the trained elephants distributed "auspicious oranges." Many tourists showed great interest and excitement in participating in the activities at Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden.
Additionally, tourists could pay respects and make merit at sacred statues for good fortune throughout the Chinese New Year festival, including statues of Phra Sangkachai, the god of happiness, prosperity, and wealth; Lord Ganesha, the god of success; Guan Yin, symbolizing compassion and peace; Brahma, the god who determines fate; as well as statues representing the 12 Chinese zodiac animals and a Buddha statue representing international Buddhism.
