Most of the bats in the cave are mouse-eared bats living in enormous numbers. They forage at night and return to the cave at dawn. Meanwhile, officials and the community have set up facilities and promoted awareness for tourists to help keep the area clean and avoid loud noises that disturb the animals, preserving the natural abundance for future generations to enjoy.
