On 1 March 2026, reporters observed that just before sunset, the viewing area near the cave was filled with people waiting to witness the key moment when the bats began to fly out in a long, continuous line, stretching across the sky like a large black ribbon, creating awe and great impression for those who saw it.

Many tourists agreed this is a rare sight and one of Thailand's distinctive natural tourist attractions. Especially on weekends and long holidays, large crowds arrive, benefiting the local economy as restaurants, souvenir shops, and accommodations see noticeably increased income.

Most of the bats in the cave are mouse-eared bats living in enormous numbers. They forage at night and return to the cave at dawn.
