Grand Scale Franchise Career Creation Event 3rd Edition Aims to Boost Local Economy in Northeastern Thailand

The grand opening of the 3rd "Franchise Career Creation" Roadshow by the Department of Business Development advances career development in Northeastern Thailand, building on the potential of Udonthani residents and stimulating the local economy with turnkey business models.

Following the Department of Business Development’s showcase of leading franchises to boost the Northeastern economy, the 3rd Franchise Career Creation Roadshow was held at Central Udonthani, Udonthani Province, from 5 to 8 March 2026. The event introduced easy-to-invest, quick-return, and tangible turnkey business models, offering Northeasterners investment opportunities along with comprehensive benefits and funding sources.

On Friday, 6 March 2026, Mr. Poonpong Nainapakon, Director-General of the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, revealed that he had assigned Mr. Sathaporn Ruamnaphaya, Deputy Director-General, to preside over the opening of the 3rd Franchise Career Creation Roadshow at Central Udonthani. This event aims to further develop Udonthani’s potential and stimulate economic circulation in the area.

Udonthani Province is a key economic and trade hub in Upper Northeastern Thailand, well-equipped with purchasing power and infrastructure, and serves as a gateway for cross-border economic connections. Bringing franchises to this event expands on successes from other regions to broadly distribute career-building opportunities among Northeastern communities.

The event features a variety of franchises, including food and beverage, services, education, and beauty/spa businesses that meet modern consumer behaviors. It also provides investment advice and systematic business startup guidance to reduce risks and enhance success chances for investors, along with business matching sessions. These efforts are expected to stimulate Udonthani’s economy by generating income for local entrepreneurs, creating jobs, expanding career options, and enhancing franchise business knowledge—recognized as a standardized, long-term growth model.

The 3rd Franchise Roadshow in Udonthani is an important economic activity for the Northeast, especially in fostering franchise business growth and expanding networks for local entrepreneurs and investors. It supports stronger local and regional economies and aims to attract visitors from surrounding provinces and Upper Northeastern Thailand. The event is anticipated to invigorate the local economy through job creation, income generation, and sustainable small business development.

"Interested individuals can attend the 3rd Franchise Roadshow in Udonthani from 5 to 8 March 2026 at Central Udonthani free of charge to explore new business perspectives, investment opportunities, and contribute to strengthening the local economy," Director-General Poonpong said in closing.

Currently, Udonthani is recognized as one of the largest economies in the Northeast after Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen, ranking third by gross provincial product (GDP). The average income per capita is 75,000 baht per year, surpassing the regional average. Although Udonthani’s economy has not yet reached the national average, it shows continuous growth in trade, services, tourism, and industrial investment sectors.
