
The 25th Ban Phe Beach-Samed Island Sea Festival opened from 11 to 15 March 2026 to stimulate Rayong’s tourism economy, featuring fresh seafood and over 300 vendor stalls.
At 7:30 p.m. on 11 March 2026, at the Ban Phe Municipal Pier Activity Area in Mueang District, Rayong Province, Kullachai Theppaworachai, Deputy Governor of Rayong, presided over the opening of the Rayong Tourism Promotion Project for the fiscal year 2025, titled “Ban Phe Beach–Samed Island Sea Festival.” The event was attended by Kittipong Urawat, District Chief of Mueang Rayong, Yanayot Arunwessaseth, Mayor of Ban Phe Municipality, Wandeepuen Udom, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Rayong Office, Predee Warilun, Rayong Province Public Relations Officer, along with executives, government department heads, private sector representatives, tourism operators, and many members of the public.
Yanayot Arunwessaseth, Mayor of Ban Phe Municipality, said Ban Phe is a key tourist destination in Rayong Province, boasting beautiful natural resources, abundant fresh seafood, and convenient transportation. This makes it a popular spot for both Thai and international tourists, which continuously generates income for the local community and businesses.
The Ban Phe Municipality has therefore organized the Rayong Tourism Promotion Project "Ban Phe Beach-Samed Island Sea Festival" annually. This year marks the 25th festival, held from 11 to 15 March 2026 at the Ban Phe Municipal Pier Activity Area.
The event aims to publicize tourist attractions within Ban Phe Municipality, stimulate the economy, and upgrade local shops and fresh seafood restaurants to gain recognition from both Thai and international tourists. It also seeks to develop and promote quality tourism products and services that meet standards, enhance the community’s income-generating capacity, and strengthen Rayong’s tourism image.
The festival has received strong cooperation from government agencies, the private sector, and local residents, who jointly organize various activities to attract tourists and sustain the vibrancy of Rayong’s tourism sector.
