The committee organizing the Pak Nam Pho deity parade tradition and the Theparak-Deity Tabtim Foundation have jointly signed a five-point MOU to prepare for the event. "Nakhon Sawan Chinese New Year 2570"
On 21 July 2026, Mr. Jittakasem Nirojthanarat, Mayor of Nakhon Sawan City, presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Pak Nam Pho deity parade organizing committee for the years 2026–2027 (Tean Tang 111) and the Theparak-Deity Tabtim Foundation, held at the 5th-floor meeting room of the Nakhon Sawan Municipal Office, Nakhon Sawan Province.
Mr. Jittakasem Nirojthanarat said that over the past two to three years, the event faced some issues. This year, a new organizing committee (Tean Tang 111) has formed, and both the chairman and committee want all parties to unite and jointly organize the Pak Nam Pho deity parade tradition this year to the best of their abilities.
Therefore, the MOU was signed today to establish agreements among all event committees on this year's activities. Everything planned for this year is expected to mark a positive new beginning. He also expressed a desire to see the long-standing tradition continue with unity and love among the committee members.
Meanwhile, Mr. Namchai Kongkawitun, chairman of the Pak Nam Pho deity parade organizing committee (Tean Tang 111), said that from day one until now, he and all members of Tean Tang 111 have been determined that all organizing parties must reunite under shared faith in the Pak Nam Pho deities, to heal divisions and unify the community's devotion.
He added that many are aware of past disputes between the two sides, but from now on, he hopes no one will let those problems cause resentment. Under shared sacredness and faith, a beautiful unity will surely emerge.
With shared faith and unity, the Nakhon Sawan Chinese New Year will be grand and worth the wait, becoming a valuable celebration for the people of Nakhon Sawan for generations. He invited everyone to unite and hoped for strong support from government, private sector, and the public.
Mr. Thawatchai Rungkhanawut, executive chairman of the Theparak-Deity Tabtim Foundation, concluded by expressing deep gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the tradition. On behalf of the foundation and the descendants of the Theparak deity, he pledged full dedication to cooperate with all organizing committees to preserve, continue, and promote the Pak Nam Pho deity parade tradition to remain grand and sustainable.
This press conference was held to sign an MOU between the Theparak-Deity Tabtim Foundation, led by Mr. Thawatchai Rungkhanawut (executive chairman), and the Pak Nam Pho deity parade organizing committee for 2026–2027 (Tean Tang 111), led by Mr. Namchai Kongkawitun (chairman). The MOU details are as follows.
1. Naming of temporary shrines: The "North Shrine" will be named Pak Nam Pho Deity Shrine (Cliffside Deity Shrine); the "South Shrine" will be named Pak Nam Pho Deity Shrine (Theparak Deity Shrine).
2. Regarding the construction of the temporary shrine: specifically the Pak Nam Pho Deity Shrine (Theparak Deity Shrine). The Theparak-Deity Tabtim Foundation and the 2026–2027 Pak Nam Pho deity parade organizing committee (Tean Tang 111) will jointly carry out the construction of the temporary southern shrine to be placed at the parade event area annually.
This includes collaborative design and participation to ensure aesthetic harmony with the event and sustainability as a foundation for preserving tradition and culture. Both parties agree that public involvement in construction is desired to ensure the shrine truly belongs to the community and is sustainable.
3. Management of the new temporary southern shrine will be a joint cooperation between both parties to properly support activities accessible to the public.
4. All income generated within the temporary shrine (Pak Nam Pho Deity Shrine, Theparak Deity Shrine) after deducting expenses will be used to cover costs of the 2026–2027 Pak Nam Pho deity parade organizing committee and the Theparak-Deity Tabtim parade.
The allocation of budget to support the Theparak-Deity Tabtim parade is at the discretion of the parade organizing committee chairman (Tean Tang 111) for approval.
5. The parade organizing committee is ready and honored to have the Theparak-Deity Tabtim Shrine participate in the traditional Pak Nam Pho deity parade, maintaining the long-standing customary practice.
This will meet the expectations of the general public in Pak Nam Pho market, Nakhon Sawan Province, and people nationwide.
