Opening ceremony "Pathum Thani Creative Space: The Charm of Pathum Thani" Promoting cultural tourism while stimulating the community-level economy

On 24 Aug 2026, it was reported that at the promotion area on the 2nd floor of Zeer Rangsit Shopping Center in Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province, Mr. Dongphon Rujithammatat, Deputy Governor of Pathum Thani, presided over the opening of "Pathum Thani Creative Space: The Charm of Pathum Thani." Attendees included Mr. Tayut Wongpitakrot, Chief Judge of Thanyaburi Provincial Court; Mrs. Busarani Hongsakham Sanguanpruek, Chief Judge of Pathum Thani Juvenile and Family Court; Mrs. Latsama Thareekaset, Pathum Thani Provincial Culture Officer; heads of government departments, officials, and local residents.

Regarding the event activities "Pathum Thani Creative Space: The Charm of Pathum Thani" is aimed at discovering, collecting, and developing Pathum Thani's cultural assets into creative content and media that reflect the area's identity, which can be used to promote tourism and add value to the province's creative economy in line with Thailand's Soft Power initiatives.

Throughout the project, field studies were conducted to survey and collect cultural assets of Pathum Thani. Interviews with local experts and community representatives were also held to identify each area's identity, highlights, and potential—key data for developing the province's creative content and media.

From the data surveys, workshops, and training sessions, ten potential cultural assets in Pathum Thani were selected to be developed into video promotional media under the Soft Power 5F concept, which includes:

• Food: Wat Sal Chao Riverside Market, Mon Rice Fields, Go Hub Boat Noodles (Rangsit Boat Noodles)
• Film: Wat Singh
• Fashion: Worldacha Fiber Development and Textile Product Learning Center from lotus fiber, Saeng Tawan Agricultural Product Processing Community Enterprise, and Indy Blue Craft
• Festival: Wat Bang Luang (Mon New Year Tradition), Wat Chinwararam (Long Boat Racing Festival)
• Fighting: Chiang Rak Yai Muay Thai Center

Today's activities are an important occasion to showcase the project's outcomes, including:

• An exhibition presenting Pathum Thani's identity and cultural assets
• Displays of creative content and media developed under the project
• Presentations on community stories and model tourist sites through the theme "The Charm of Pathum Thani"
• Knowledge exchange among agencies, network partners, entrepreneurs, and the public to jointly develop cultural assets for the province's creative economy
• Vendor booths from network groups, cultural performances, and numerous recreational activities

The project serves as a vital mechanism to enhance the province's image, promote cultural tourism, stimulate the community economy, and instill pride among Pathum Thani residents in preserving and advancing their local cultural heritage.
