This Morning at Doi Inthanon: Clear Skies, Cold Weather with a Low of 5°C

Tourists are lively this morning at Doi Inthanon National Park, where the sky is clear, the weather is cold, and the temperature has dropped to a low of 5°C.

On 15 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that at Doi Inthanon National Park in Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province, tourists flocked to experience the cold weather and good air quality under clear skies. Although today's temperature at the summit rose slightly, measuring 5°C, it remains cold. Visitors enjoying the chill were delighted to witness the first sunlight of the new day gradually emerging over the horizon, casting a golden glow as beautiful as a painting. This spectacular sunrise compelled many tourists to capture photos as keepsakes.

According to data from Doi Inthanon National Park, on 14 January 2026 GMT+7, a total of 3,051 tourists visited the park.

Meanwhile, the Northern Meteorological Center reported that the northern region will experience rising temperatures with morning fog and some areas of dense fog, but the weather will remain cool to cold. This is due to the weakening of the high-pressure system or cold air mass covering Thailand. Residents are advised to take care of their health due to the cold conditions and to exercise caution when traveling through foggy areas. The lowest temperature is forecast at 17°C and the highest at 31°C. At mountain summits, the weather will be cold to very cold with lows ranging from 6 to 11°C.
