Brazen Attack by Three Dogs Kills 20 Chickens, One Seriously Injured

A young chicken coop owner was distressed when three dogs boldly entered his coop, attacking and killing 20 chickens and seriously injuring another. The damage is estimated at about 50,000 baht. He demands the dog owners take responsibility.

On 10 April 2026, reporters visited the chicken coop at the end of the village, Rai Por Piang, Village No. 5, Pong Pha Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, belonging to Mr. Tan Wongsam, 49. He was having workers urgently repair the coop. He explained that the land was bought by his child but they do not live there, so he raises chickens there—hundreds of them. After feeding, he closes the entrance with tarpaulin and tiles.

This morning, when he came to check the chickens, he was shocked to find about 20 dead chickens he had raised himself, and another seriously injured. At first, he did not know who was responsible until he reviewed CCTV footage. At about 05:59 a.m., three dogs—a pair of black ones and a white one—ran in and viciously attacked the chickens and chicks before running away. Despite searching, he has not found the owners of these three dogs.

He buried all the dead chickens and is anxiously hoping the injured one will survive, as its body was severely wounded. The fighting chickens' losses are estimated at about 50,000 baht. He is now calling workers to build a proper door. He will continue to search for the three dogs and their owners to make them responsible for the damages.
