At 19:00 on 4 June 2026, reporters reported a strong flash flood near Ban Sala Chiang Tong, Sao Hin Subdistrict, Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son Province. The Mae Ngae River, which collects water from tributaries including Huai Mae Tob and Huai Mae Song, is flowing rapidly and forcefully as these streams converge.
