An unidentified kamikaze drone crashed into a cornfield in Phop Phra District, Tak Province, about 200 meters from the border. Authorities coordinated with the EOD team to seal off the area and investigate the scene. No injuries were reported at the site.

At 16:00 on 4 July 2026, Police Colonel Anusorn Dankong, Superintendent of Phop Phra Police Station, told reporters that the police had been notified via the station's radio center about a kamikaze drone that had crashed inside a cornfield in Ban Walay, Village No. 2, Walay Subdistrict, Phop Phra District, Tak Province. No one was injured or killed.

The Phop Phra police then coordinated with the Rachamanu military unit, Tak Province EOD team, and local administration officials to inspect the scene. Upon arrival, they found an unmanned kamikaze drone of unknown affiliation that had flown from Myanmar and crashed into Thai territory in an agricultural area at Ban Walay Tai, Village No. 2, Walay Subdistrict, Phop Phra District, Tak Province, approximately 200 meters from the border.
