On 7 August 2026, reporters reported that Doi Suthep-Pui National Park in Chiang Mai issued a notice to temporarily close the Mae Sa Waterfall area. At 14:25 today, continuous heavy rainfall in the area caused a flash flood with red-tinted murky water.
