In Phetchabun, a fisherman was nearly shocked after discovering an unidentified body floating near the Pasak River's bank, close to a buoy. Initially, the body appeared to have been burned, blackened like charred wood, with wire wrapped around it and a tattoo on the neck. Forensic officials arrived at the scene to collect evidence.
On 13 August 2026, reporters learned that Nong Phai Police Station received a report from the assistant village headman of Village 13, Ban Khlong Krabon, Ban Phot Subdistrict, Nong Phai District, Phetchabun Province. He reported finding an unidentified body floating near the Pasak River, fully entangled in wire and showing burn marks. Authorities coordinated with relevant agencies to investigate.
At the scene by the Pasak River, near local rice fields, an unidentified body was found showing signs of burning. The skull bore burn marks, and wire was wrapped around the left arm, torso, and legs. A tattooed yantra mark was visible on the back of the neck.
According to Prahyat Kernkaew, 76, the first person to find the body, he regularly fishes in the area. At first, he was puzzled because no fish entered his trap, so he went to check. Initially, he did not realize it was a body because an oil slick was floating on the water. When he pulled up the wire, he discovered it was a corpse. He then put it down and quickly informed the assistant village headman. So far, it is unknown whether the body is male or female or where it came from, and no one in the village is missing.
