
Flooding in Nan province has led the Department of Highways to report seven roads submerged and impassable to all vehicles. Travelers are advised to avoid these routes, especially as there is no detour available from Pua district to Chiang Klang district.
The Department of Highways, through Nan Highway District 2, announced that heavy rain and flash floods in Nan and nearby provinces have disrupted travel for residents. The department reports traffic conditions in the affected areas, finding seven flooded highway locations as follows.
In Nan province, there are six affected locations.
1. Highway No. 101 at kilometer 429+750 in Ban Rong area, Pua district: the road surface is flooded and impassable.
2. Highway No. 101 at kilometer 430+000 near Ban San intersection, Pua district: the underpass tunnel is flooded, but traffic can use the surface road above.
3. Highway No. 1256 at kilometer 5+975 near Ban Mon Bridge, Woranakhon subdistrict, Pua district: the bridge has collapsed and traffic cannot pass.
4. Highway No. 1371 at kilometer 0+500 near Ban Fai Bridge, Sila Laeng subdistrict, Pua district: the bridge has collapsed and traffic cannot pass.
5. Highway No. 1371 at kilometer 3+700 near Huai Tat Bridge, Woranakhon subdistrict, Pua district: the bridge has collapsed and traffic cannot pass.
6. Highway No. 1081 at kilometer 9+600 in front of Nan Niran Hotel, Sila Laeng subdistrict, Pua district: erosion has damaged a box culvert pipe causing flooding on the road, making it impassable.
In Phayao province, there is one affected location.
1. Highway No. 1092 between kilometers 17+200 and 17+300 in Ban San Klang, Ngim subdistrict, Pong district: flash floods have crossed the road, making it impassable for small vehicles.
There is no detour route from Pua district to Chiang Klang district; all points are impassable. For Highway No. 1256 from Pua to Doi Phu Kha National Park to Bo Kluea, travelers are advised to use Highway No. 1081 from Pua to Bo Kluea instead.
