Cell Broadcast Warns of Heavy Rain in 3 Districts of Nan Province Flash Floods and Landslides Alert

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) sent a Cell Broadcast warning of heavy rain in three districts of Nan Province. Chaloem Phra Kiat, Bo Kluea, and Thung Chang. Residents along canals and low-lying hillside areas are urged to be vigilant for flash floods, landslides, and river overflows, and to move belongings to higher ground and relocate vehicles.

An update on the flooding situation in Nan Province after heavy rains caused water to surge and flood many areas, disrupting travel routes. Affected residents have had to elevate their belongings and evacuate to safe shelters.

On 20 Aug 2026 GMT+7, the Nan Provincial Public Relations Facebook page posted an update reporting the situation. Rain bands moved into Nan Province at 20:00 on 20 Aug 2026 GMT+7, entering northern zones and moving toward central areas. Authorities warn of flash floods, flash floods, and landslides.

Meanwhile, the following Facebook page posted an update:Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM).At 20:47, DDPM posted that heavy rain continues in Chaloem Phra Kiat, Bo Kluea, and Thung Chang districts. They warned of flash floods, landslides, and riverbank overflow in canal-side, low-lying, and hillside areas. Residents should move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and important documents, be cautious of electric shock hazards, and care for vulnerable groups.

DDPM collaborated with mobile network providers AIS, True, and NT to send Cell Broadcast warnings about heavy rain in Chaloem Phra Kiat, Bo Kluea, and Thung Chang districts of Nan Province.
