After the flood, villagers in Pua District appeal to relevant agencies for help in clearing the area, as electricity is still unavailable and wells and toilets remain filled with mud, preventing them from returning to their homes.
On 25 Aug 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that after floodwaters began to recede in Pua District, Nan Province, several agencies rushed to restore affected areas. However, some villagers still face hardship, especially with the electrical system unusable due to multiple low-voltage poles being knocked down, and water sources and toilets damaged by mud.
In Ban Hia, Sila Laeng Subdistrict, Pua District, villagers are still unable to return to their homes normally because electricity is unavailable. They rely on well water for daily use, but after the floodwaters receded, mud had flowed in and accumulated, rendering the wells unusable. Additionally, toilets are clogged with mud blocking the pipes, also making them unusable.
Ms. Pawina Kansri, a local resident, explained that after the flood, people had to relocate to a shelter at a nearby temple. When the floodwaters subsided, they wanted to return home but faced problems due to lack of electricity. Moreover, the well used daily was clogged with mud and unusable, as were the toilets.. The toilets were severely damaged by mud blocking the pipes. Villagers therefore appeal to relevant agencies to urgently pump out and remove the mud from wells, clean the water and sanitation systems, and quickly repair the electrical infrastructure so they can return to their homes and resume daily life as soon as possible.
