At approximately 11:00 a.m. on 4 Sep 2026 GMT+7, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) sent a Cell Broadcast alert for heavy rain in Thung Chang, Chiang Klang, and Pua districts. Continuous rain is expected, with warnings of flash floods, landslides, and overflowing riverbanks in low-lying and foothill areas along canals and rivers. Residents are advised to closely monitor the situation, move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and important documents, beware of electrical hazards, care for vulnerable groups, and evacuate to safe areas if located in risk zones. For assistance, contact local village chiefs, headmen, or local government officials.
Subsequently, DDPM sent another Cell Broadcast alert for heavy rain in Bo Kluea District, with ongoing rainfall expected. Residents should continue to watch for flash floods, landslides, and river overflows in low-lying and foothill areas. The same precautions apply: monitor conditions, move items to high ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and documents, avoid electrical hazards, protect vulnerable groups, and evacuate if in danger areas. DDPM has partnered with mobile network operators AIS, True, and NT to distribute Cell Broadcast alerts about heavy rain in Thung Chang, Chiang Klang, Pua, and Bo Kluea districts in Nan Province.
