
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has transferred 9,000 baht in flood relief funds to the accounts of 15,215 affected households in Nan Province. The department urges the public to verify their PromptPay account linkages.
On 8 September 2026 GMT+7, reporters stated that Mr. Theerapat Kachamat, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, provided an update on the progress of financial aid disbursement for flood victims during the 2026 rainy season. Following the Cabinet resolution on 25 August 2026 GMT+7, the DDPM was assigned to manage the budget and distribute assistance of 9,000 baht per household, plus 2 million baht in funeral expenses for each family of deceased victims.
Currently, the DDPM has verified the accuracy of the list of confirmed flood victims from Nan Province according to established criteria and conditions. The data has been forwarded to the Government Savings Bank, which will process the first relief fund transfer to flood-affected households in Nan Province today (8 September 2026) between 02:00 and 06:00 GMT+7, totaling 15,215 households and amounting to 136,935,000 baht.
Authorities advise residents to check that their PromptPay accounts are properly linked to their national ID numbers. Those who have not yet linked their accounts are urged to contact their bank promptly to avoid any issues or delays in receiving disaster relief payments.
