Meanwhile, the Chiang Mai Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office has issued a warning about heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas from 28 to 29 September 2026 in eight at-risk districts: Omkoi, Hod, Doi Tao, Mae Chaem, Chom Thong, Doi Lo, Mae Wang, and Galyani Vadhana. This may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands. Tourists and residents are urged to monitor weather updates and official news closely, avoid travel through routes prone to flash floods, flooding, or landslides, and strictly follow warnings issued by the park or natural tourist sites.
