Second Army Region Secures Hill 350 After Five Days of Military Operations

The Second Army Region has summarized the border situation, confirming it has secured control of Hill 350 after five days of continuous military operations. The bodies of two personnel will be sent for religious ceremonies in their hometowns tomorrow.

On 20 December 2025 at 16:19 GMT+7, the Second Army Region Operations Center reported the situation along the Thailand-Cambodia border for the day as follows.

Chong An Ma area: Cambodian forces have intermittently used drones for reconnaissance in the area. Our side has established security at the designated location and maintains forces continuously along the front line.

Don Trawl – Sam Tae – Phu Phi – Sattasom – Chong Ta Thao areas: Cambodian forces used grenade launchers and artillery to fire on our positions at multiple points, damaging bunkers and causing injuries among our personnel. We responded with artillery fire, forcing the Cambodian side to relocate their tank firing positions to adjust their firing lines.

Pha Mo E Daeng – Huai Ta Maria areas: Cambodian forces deployed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for reconnaissance and heavily used FPV suicide drones, especially from evening to nightfall. They fired artillery at several of our military bases. Our forces responded with grenade launchers and artillery to destroy targets and periodically strike enemy artillery positions.

Prasat Ta Kwai – Hill 350 area: Since 16 December 2025, units have conducted clearance operations at three locations. Initial results show control over two sites: Prasat Ta Kwai and a Cambodian military assembly area. Upon engaging the final target, Hill 350, Cambodian forces responded with intense resistance, resulting in the deaths of Sergeant Major Samreng Klongprakorn and Private Phanupat Saosa, both from the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, during their duties.

After continuous military operations to control the area, by 20 December 2025 the unit secured Hill 350 and evacuated the bodies of the two fallen soldiers from the combat zone around 12:00 GMT+7 today.

Tomorrow, a military honor guard ceremony will be held to send the deceased for religious rites in their hometowns.
