Surin Province Warns Residents in High-Risk Areas of Possible Heavy Weapon Fire Before GBC Ceasefire Signing

Surin Province warns of possible heavy weapon fire from opposing forces before tomorrow's ceasefire signing. Residents in high-risk areas are strictly prohibited from entering these zones. From now on, they must take shelter and turn off all lights at every point.

On 26 Dec 2025 at 19:42 GMT+7, the Surin Province Facebook page posted a message stating there is a warning of possible heavy weapon fire from opposing forces before the GBC ceasefire signing tomorrow, which may affect both military bases and residents' homes.

High-risk area (RED ZONE): Border districts are declared red zones. No outsiders are allowed to enter these areas under any circumstances.

Immediate Action Required

  • Shelter immediately: Residents in the area must move to the safest shelter from now on.
  • No travel: Do not drive or use any vehicles on roads in the risk zones.

Nighttime measures

  • Lights out: Turn off all lights in every home and location.
  • Do not leave your residence: Strictly avoid leaving your home.

Similarly, at 20:17 GMT+7, the Facebook page of the Taphraya District Office in Sa Kaeo Province posted a warning to residents as well.
