Navy Commander Visits Border Area Ban Tha Sen–Ban Nong Ree, Orders Strict Surveillance under Ceasefire Agreement

The Navy Commander visited the border area around "Ban Tha Sen–Ban Nong Ree" to inspect and boost the morale of personnel during the New Year festival, emphasizing strict vigilance under the ceasefire agreement.

On 31 December 2025 GMT+7, Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaiyaphan, Navy Spokesperson, revealed that on this day, Admiral Phairoj Fuangchan, Navy Commander, traveled to inspect the operations of the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Unit (BDU) at the Ban Tha Sen operational base (Kasino Thamoda) and Ban Nong Ree operational base (Ban Samlang) in Chamrak Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trat Province. The visit aimed to boost morale and encourage personnel serving in the border area during the New Year festival. Rear Admiral Apichart Supprasert, Commander of the Chanthaburi and Trat BDU, led the inspection.

This inspection reflected the commander’s concern for the safety and well-being of personnel, reaffirming the Navy's commitment to protecting sovereignty and national security. The Navy continues to closely monitor the situation in the area under the framework of the ceasefire agreement with caution, avoiding complacency, and maintaining combat readiness at all times.

On this occasion, the Navy Commander examined the terrain and former enemy military strongholds, followed up on the establishment of our security positions, troop deployments, reinforcement of defensive lines, and control of key areas to ensure efficient mission execution. He also reviewed progress on landmine clearance in the area to enhance safety for personnel and civilians.

Additionally, the Navy Commander met with frontline personnel to offer encouragement, commending their sacrifice, endurance, discipline, and professionalism. He praised all personnel for their steadfastness, adherence to orders, and prioritization of public safety. He emphasized the importance of performing duties carefully, maintaining composure, and strictly observing discipline even under the ceasefire agreement.

The Navy upholds principles of sovereignty and national security protection alongside respect for international law and the ceasefire agreement. It continues to support border units consistently with personnel, equipment, medical aid, and logistics to ensure personnel can perform their duties confidently and safely, fully safeguarding the local population.
