Due to unrest in the Thai-Cambodian border provinces, a Joint Statement was signed to establish a ceasefire on 27 December 2025, which lasted until 12:00 PM on 30 December 2025. The Central Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command (CDPMC) held a meeting to monitor the situation and impacts in the border provinces, coordinating with regional disaster prevention centers responsible for the Thai-Cambodian border provinces, including Centers 3 (Prachinburi), 5 (Nakhon Ratchasima), 6 (Khon Kaen), 7 (Sakon Nakhon), 13 (Ubon Ratchathani), and 17 (Chanthaburi), as well as provincial disaster prevention offices in Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Surin, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat. They emphasized assistance measures as per the Cabinet resolution on 23 December 2025 covering deaths, injuries, and evacuation cases.
In case of evacuation
Eligible recipients must be permanent residents within designated assistance zones, have certification from local administrative organizations, and pass verification by the regional and provincial committees. Citizens can apply for assistance via two channels: online at the disaster relief system for incidents caused by foreign armed forces, relief68plus (http://relief68plus.disaster.go.th) or in person at local administrative organizations.
