Due to unrest in the Thai-Cambodian border provinces, a Joint Statement on ceasefire was signed on 27 Dec 2025, with the ceasefire ending at 12:00 on 30 Dec 2025 GMT+7.
Subsequently, the Central Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command (CDPMC) held meetings to monitor the situation and impacts along the Thai-Cambodian border provinces with relevant regional disaster prevention centers responsible for border provinces, including centers in Prachinburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon, Ubon Ratchathani, and Chanthaburi, as well as provincial disaster offices in Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Surin, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat. They emphasized assistance measures for victims as per the Cabinet resolution on 23 Dec 2025, covering deaths, injuries, and evacuations.

Eligible recipients must be permanent residents within the designated assistance areas, have certification from local administrative organizations, and pass verification by the relevant committees G.Ch.P.A. and G.Ch.P.J.
