Ubon Ratchathani Zoo was lively as parents flocked with their children to take part in National Children's Day 2026 activities. Meanwhile, the Officers' Club of Military Circle 22 organized a relaxation event for the children of frontline soldiers.
On 10 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters described the Children's Day atmosphere at Ubon Ratchathani Zoo in Ubon Ratchathani province, which opened to visitors from 08:00. Traffic was heavy from early morning since major military units like Wing 21 and Military Circle 22 did not hold Children's Day events this year due to unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border.
This made Ubon Ratchathani Zoo the main destination for parents and children on Children's Day 2026. Although visitor numbers were higher than usual, event management avoided crowding by distributing gift-giving activities across various areas. The weather was also comfortably cool, with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, at the Officers' Club of Sapphasitthiprasong Camp, Military Circle 22 in Warin Chamrap district, Ubon Ratchathani, Major General Thanakrit Punrod, commander of Military Circle 22, along with personnel and the camp hospital staff, organized relaxation activities for frontline soldiers' children. To bring joy to children whose fathers are deployed on the border, families were invited to join games, receive prizes, and enjoy the National Children's Day 2026 event.
The Military Circle 22 commander also took part in drawing and distributing prizes such as bicycles and other gifts, bringing smiles to children in the camp during their fathers' border deployment. Among them was Arunphong Saenuan, a primary school student who dreams of becoming a soldier serving the nation.
