At 09:05 on 14 Jan 2026, it was reported that a crane lifting a high-speed railway bridge collapsed onto a moving passenger train, causing the train to derail and catch fire. Approximately 30 passengers were initially injured. The incident occurred at Ban Thanon Kot, Si Khio Subdistrict, Si Khio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
Following the incident, rescue units including Huk 31 Nakhon Ratchasima, Phromtham Si Khio Rescue, Sawangwich Pak Chong Rescue, and Sung Noen Rescue rushed to assist the injured. They used cutting tools to extract injured individuals from the train wreckage and transported them to Si Khio Hospital, Sung Noen Hospital, and Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital for treatment.
