
The names of 12 victims who died when a crane fell onto a train as it was passing between Nong Nam Khun and Si Kio stations in Nakhon Ratchasima province have been released.
On 14 January 2026 CE, a construction crane belonging to Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited, working on the high-speed rail project contracts 3-4 covering civil works from Lam Takhong to Si Kio and from Kut Chik to Khok Kruat, collapsed onto Special Express Train No. 21 traveling the Bangkok-Apiwat Central Station to Ubon Ratchathani route. The accident caused the train to derail and catch fire, resulting in 32 fatalities and 66 injuries. Authorities are urgently transporting the injured to Si Kio Hospital, Sung Noen Hospital, and Pak Chong Nana Hospital for treatment.
Reporters state that the names of 12 deceased individuals have now been disclosed, consisting of:
