Using a search warrant from Khon Kaen Provincial Court No. Kor. 24/2569 dated 22 Jan 2026, authorities searched "Urai Dental Lab" in Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, and arrested Ms. Pensiri, 62, a Khon Kaen resident and owner of the denture-making shop, charging her with manufacturing and selling medical devices (dentures) without authorization and operating an unregistered business.
Police Colonel Adichart Amornpradit received information from Khon Kaen Public Health Office following complaints that customers who used services at "Urai Dental Lab" developed oral infections causing health problems. Investigation found the shop advertised denture making and repair services on social media, enticing the public with low prices before authorities raided the premises.
During questioning, Ms. Pensiri stated that she and her husband had worked as denture technicians at a dental clinic in Bangkok without formal education or certification in the field. After returning to her hometown, she opened a small shop offering denture services to the public at affordable prices, operating for about 20 years with fees ranging from 600 to 4,000 baht depending on complexity or number of teeth. She relied on skills learned from dentists at her previous workplace but had not registered the business or notified authorities about manufacturing or selling medical devices (dentures). She was taken into custody to face legal proceedings.
