S.Councilor Neys Farm in Kalasin Quietly Closed Found to Have Officially Taken Leave to Travel Abroad

S.Councilor Ney's farm in Kalasin has closed quietly. Former workers expressed shock upon hearing the news. It was found that he had officially applied for leave to travel abroad following proper procedures, noting that if a public official is absent without leave, disciplinary action must follow regulations.

Regarding the case, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and Pol. Lt. Gen. Rutthaphon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, revealed progress in prosecuting candidates for the House of Representatives, former candidates, and political network members from over 10 parties involved in online gambling and scammer cases. Authorities have issued arrest warrants for two individuals, who are known to have fled abroad. One is "S.Councilor Ney," Mr. Pathanan Chandorn, a member of the Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization council for Khong Chai district, and his wife, who fled since 20 Jan 2026. Another councilor's name remains undisclosed as evidence is still being gathered, but he is known to have fled before S.Councilor Ney, around 15 Jan 2026, as previously reported.

Mr. Pathanan Chandorn, known as "S.Councilor Ney," recently became a first-term member of the Kalasin Provincial Council. He is a local politician in Kalasin with a role in the provincial council and has appeared in local election documents. He was issued an arrest warrant for involvement in an online gambling and scammer network, along with his wife.

Today (27 Jan 2026), special reporters in Kalasin visited Ban Klang Dong, Huai Pho subdistrict, Mueang district, Kalasin, where S.Councilor Ney's well-known fighting cock farm was found tightly closed. Neighbors and former workers expressed shared shock upon learning his name was linked to online gambling.

A former employee at the fighting cock farm said he had worked as a cock caretaker there for about two years, earning 9,000 baht per month. The farm sells fighting cock chicks priced between 20,000 and 30,000 baht per egg. Regular transport vehicles come and go to deliver breeding fighting cocks. He did not know the farm owner was involved with online gambling since his duties were limited to cock care.

Reporters then visited the Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization and met with Mrs. Chalermkwan Lotrakul, the president of the Kalasin PAO, but were informed she was on official duty in another district. They called to inquire about "S.Councilor Ney."

Mrs. Chalermkwan said that after inquiring with the PAO secretariat, it was learned that the council member had requested official leave to travel abroad through the council president, who has the authority to approve such leave. If the leave involves travel abroad, the council president reviews it and forwards it to the provincial governor for consideration. Currently, the legislative office is checking whether the leave request followed proper procedures. If there is extended leave or absence without leave, disciplinary measures must be taken according to council member regulations.
