Sophon Closes Mahasarakham Rally Confident Blue Flags Will Fly in at Least 5 Districts

Sophon Sarum closed the rally in Mahasarakham, expressing confidence that at least five districts will change to blue. He said the color blue represents the solution for national security, fostering peace, and driving Thailand’s stable long-term development.

On 5 Feb 2026 GMT+7, at the football field of Kaedam District Office in Mahasarakham Province, around 2,000 people gathered to await Sophon Sarum, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, who took the stage to deliver the closing campaign speech for the party in Mahasarakham’s second electoral district. This district is contested by Pravat Thongsomboon, candidate number 5 of Bhumjaithai Party. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with strong public support reflecting positive momentum in the final stretch of the election campaign.

Sophon said that Bhumjaithai candidates in all six districts of Mahasarakham have been working continuously on the ground, closely engaging with the people and sincerely explaining the party’s policies. This has created understanding and trust, leading to confidence that the party will secure victories in no fewer than five districts. The people have responded positively to the party’s policies on many fronts including the economy, the Khon La Khrueng subsidy program, agricultural product prices, border security, social welfare, and foreign affairs—an area the party prioritizes.

The deputy leader of Bhumjaithai also spoke about the party’s role in foreign affairs. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, over the past two to three months, Thailand has displayed a distinguished and clear presence on the global stage, a marked change from previous years. This achievement has been communicated effectively to the public and has been well received.

Toward the end, Sophon invited citizens nationwide to exercise their right to vote on the 8th, emphasizing that this election is a crucial decision. After several coalition governments, it is time for the people to choose which side to entrust with the country’s future.

He expressed confidence that Mahasarakham Province will definitely turn blue, and the Bhumjaithai Party believes that blue will represent a government that ensures stability, peace, and steady development for Thailand’s long-term future.
