A lawyer revealed that “Je Aoi” is not worried after the civil court dismissed the petition ordering the return of 74 million baht to Lawyer Tum and his wife, saying she will let the legal process take its course.
In the case where the civil court ruled to dismiss the petition and ordered the return of 74 million baht to Mr. Sitthira Biebungert, known as Lawyer Tum, a former prominent lawyer, and his wife Mrs. Patitta Biebungert, relating to fraud allegations by Ms. Jatuporn Ubonlert, or “Je Aoi,” the court found insufficient grounds to believe Lawyer Tum engaged in fraudulent conduct toward Je Aoi, which is a foundational offense for money laundering, as previously reported.
Latest update on 25 Feb 2026: Mr. Somchat Pinitaksorn, Je Aoi’s personal lawyer, stated that since the Anti-Money Laundering Office submitted the petition through the prosecutor to the civil court, the court’s discretion is its own authority. Following the court’s dismissal of the petition and the order to return all assets worth over 74 million baht to Lawyer Tum, the prosecutor must file an appeal according to regulations. He said he has spoken with Je Aoi, who is not worried at all and will allow the legal process to proceed.
Meanwhile, in the criminal case at the Ratchada Criminal Court, the first evidence hearing is scheduled for early March on charges including fraud, money laundering, filing false police reports at Bang Sue Police Station, and document forgery.
