At the Songkran Festival on Khao Niao Road in Khon Kaen, many Thai and foreign tourists gathered to participate in the "Human Wave" activity.
At 7:00 PM on 13 April 2026, at Khao Niao Road, Sri Chan Subdistrict, Khon Kaen Municipality, Khajornkiat Rakpanichmanee, Governor of Khon Kaen, together with Yutthaporn Pirunsarn, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen, and Prasit Thongtangthai, Mayor of Khon Kaen Municipality, jointly presided over the opening of the "Human Wave" activity as part of the Grand Isan Songkran Tradition, Dok Khun Siang Khaen Festival, and Khao Niao Road Songkran Festival of 2026.
The atmosphere at the event saw a large number of both Thai and foreign tourists participating. This year, the activity distance was extended, and numerous stages for activities were added.
