During late hours on Motorway M6, traffic has accumulated as people rush to return to Bangkok, resulting in slow movement and occasional stops. Meanwhile, Mittraphap Road has heavier than usual traffic volume but still moves steadily.
A reporter noted that on the evening of 15 April 2026, as the Songkran festival ended, travelers continued returning to Bangkok to prepare for work the next day. This caused sustained heavy traffic on major routes near Pak Chong District in Nakhon Ratchasima. On Motorway M6 around kilometer 113 in Khonong Phra Subdistrict, traffic was dense and moved slowly, alternating with brief stops due to accumulated vehicles.
At kilometer 110 in Nong Nam Daeng Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, where the road narrows from three lanes to two and includes a right-hand diversion, a bottleneck formed. This caused vehicle buildup and prolonged slowdowns extending to kilometer 115.
On Mittraphap Road near the area of Klang Dong at kilometers 37 to 35 in Klang Dong Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima, borderingMuak Lek District,Saraburi Province, known as the gateway to the Northeast, traffic volume was higher than usual but still moved smoothly without congestion problems.
It is expected that inbound traffic to Bangkok will remain heavy into the late evening on both Motorway M6 and Mittraphap Road, as people hurry back to prepare for work the following day.
