Devotees flock to pay respects to "Luang Pu Sila" in large numbers at Suan Tham Piti Temple, Kalasin Province. The temple spokesperson called for mindful consumption of news, while disciples sent representatives to clarify rumors about the resignation of the abbot of Wat Phra That Muen Hin.
On 21 April 2026 at Suan Tham Piti Temple (Dhamma Park), Kalasin Province, reporters observed a lively atmosphere as many devotees from all over came to make merit, pray to Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto, and acquire sacred objects for good fortune as they begin life anew after Songkran, the Thai New Year.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chanawut Utho, also known as Ajarn Link, sent representatives to provide clarification after previously posting on the "Chanawut Utho" Facebook page as a disciple, urging those involved to cease incitement and efforts to force Luang Pu to resign as abbot of Wat Phra That Muen Hin. Officials from the Kalasin Provincial Office of Buddhist Affairs attended to listen and understand, aiming to find a peaceful resolution based on understanding, reconciliation, and harmony.
The regular host at Suan Tham Piti Temple encouraged everyone to stay strong and consume news with mindfulness, warning against believing social media rumors as they are untrue and could cause confusion and division within the community.
